Mothilal Consulting Engineers is a dynamic consulting engineering firm established in 2022 by Avikar Mothilal, an experienced professional engineer with extensive experience in the roads and civil engineering domain. Graduating from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with a Bachelor of Science degree and receiving the Professor Bill King Award in the process, Avikar Mothilal has gone on to register as a Professional Engineer with ECSA, with experience in the civil & transportation environment.
He has worked on many multidisciplinary projects in combination with specialist road projects for a multitude of clients, including SANRAL, KZN Department of Public Works, KZN Department of Transport, eThekwini Municipality, Msunduzi Municipality, Roads Agency Limpopo, Johannesburg Roads Agency, Tongaat Hulett Developments and others.
Highly proficient with design software and technological innovation, Avikar continues to develop automated design processes that enable him to deliver projects within the shortest possible timeframes, generally leading to significant cost savings.
Past roles over the years include Head of Transportation, Design Specialist, Project Manager, Contracts Engineer, Lead Civil Engineer and Resident Engineer.
